What Door lock fault indicates

Before a self-clean cycle, Wolf ovens drive a motorized latch to lock the door and read a switch that confirms it reached the locked position. If the motor stalls, the switch never confirms, or the latch jams, the control cannot verify a safe lock and aborts with a fault. After a cycle the same fault can leave the door stuck locked if the latch will not retract.

What causes Door lock fault

The small lock motor or its gears wear out and stall, the position switch fails or its lever bends, or grease and debris jam the latch travel. A wiring or connector fault between the lock assembly and the control produces the same no-confirmation result. Repeated high-heat self-clean cycles accelerate wear on the lock components.
