About Subzero Repair (Built-In Experts)

Subzero Repair has been servicing high-end, built-in appliances across the San Francisco Bay Area since 2005. We exist for one kind of customer: the homeowner whose refrigerator, wine unit or range is part of a serious kitchen, integrated into custom cabinetry and chosen for precision and longevity. Those appliances are not interchangeable with mass-market models, and the people who fix them shouldn't be either.

We are an independent company, not a call center routing your job to whoever is closest. The brands you own are the brands we work on every day, and that focus is the whole point. When you call us, you are hiring people who have already seen your problem on your make and model, many times over.

Who We Are

Founded in 2005 and based in Los Gatos, we serve homes throughout the Bay Area, including San Francisco, the Peninsula, Silicon Valley and the East Bay. Over those years we have built our reputation on a narrow specialty done well: built-in and luxury appliance repair.

We are an independent service company. To be clear and straightforward about it, we are not a manufacturer-authorized or factory-certified service center, and we are not affiliated with Sub-Zero or any other brand. What we offer instead is deep, hands-on experience with these systems and the use of factory-grade parts.

What We Specialize In

Our work centers on Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, KitchenAid and GE Monogram, along with other premium brands such as Bosch, Miele and Liebherr. That spans built-in refrigeration and columns, wine and beverage units, professional ranges and cooktops, ovens, and the sealed systems and electronic controls these appliances rely on.

Built-ins are genuinely our specialty, not a sideline. We understand the quirks of dual refrigeration systems, the realities of working behind tilework and custom panels, and the difference between a blinking light and a real failure underneath it.

How We Work

We send technicians who have done the job before, not guessers. Common parts ride on the truck so many repairs finish on the first visit, and less common parts are ordered promptly so we can return and complete the work properly.

Just as important is how we treat your home. We show up clean and equipped, we work respectfully around designer kitchens and expensive millwork, and we explain clearly what failed, what the fix involves, and whether a repair makes sense.
