Sub-Zero built it to last decades, and a single failing seal, fan, or control board should never mean replacing a $10,000 refrigerator. We are an independent repair company that has specialized in Sub-Zero systems since 2005, serving homeowners throughout the San Francisco Bay Area from our base in Los Gatos.
Sub-Zero's dual-compressor design, vacuum-sealed cabinets, and magnetic gaskets are unlike anything from a mainstream brand. We know how the Classic, Designer, and PRO lines actually behave when something drifts out of spec, so we diagnose the real cause instead of guessing. That means correct evaporator and condenser work, accurate temperature calibration, and factory-grade replacement parts.
Whether your built-in has stopped cooling, is icing up, or is running loud, we handle it with the care a flagship appliance deserves. Book online and we will come to you.

Common faults
Often a failed evaporator fan, frosted-over coil, or a compressor that has lost charge. We pinpoint whether it is sealed-system or a serviceable component before quoting.
Usually a defrost heater, defrost thermostat, or control-board fault. We restore the defrost cycle rather than just clearing the frost.
Worn fan motors, a struggling condenser, or dirty condenser coils make the unit run hot and noisy. We clean, test, and replace what is actually failing.
Sub-Zero control panels report sensor, fan, and temperature faults by code. We read them correctly and trace the underlying issue.
Clogged drain lines, failed door gaskets, or a cracked drain pan are common culprits we resolve cleanly.

Reviews
“The fresh-food Sub-Zero refrigerator column in our Mountain View kitchen wasn't holding temperature. Dave read the error code, isolated a failing thermistor feeding bad readings to the controls, and had it cooling correctly within the hour. Clear explanation and a tidy workspace.”

“Our dual-zone Sub-Zero wine cooler in Menlo Park was showing a panel code and the upper zone wouldn't cool. Dave read the code, diagnosed a faulty thermistor, and had the right part on the truck so it was one visit. Honest and didn't try to upsell us on anything.”

“The ice maker in our Sub-Zero column in Walnut Creek stopped making ice and the bin sensor seemed stuck. Brian replaced the optical sensor and cleared a frozen fill tube, and it's been keeping the bin full ever since. He explained how the sensor works and didn't leave a mess behind.”

“After years of reliable service our San Francisco Sub-Zero built-in refrigerator slowly lost its chill. Tom confirmed a slow refrigerant leak in the sealed system, repaired and recharged it, and was honest that if it returned the next step would be a bigger job. It's held cold for months now.”

“Brian rescued our Sub-Zero wine column in Oakland that had warmed up to room temperature overnight. He found a failed control board and a fan that had seized, sourced the parts quickly, and dialed the dual zones back to exactly the temps we keep our reds and whites at.”

“Our Saratoga Sub-Zero refrigerator column was frosting over and the back vents kept clogging with ice. Tom diagnosed a sealed-system airflow issue and a stuck damper, fixed both, and walked me through how to keep the vents clear. No upsell, just the repair we needed.”
