No Power / Dead Display, explained
This category covers complete or partial loss of function: the display is blank or unresponsive, buttons do nothing, or the unit will not cool despite power. The electronic control (and on some models a separate relay board) runs the compressor, fans, and display. If it loses incoming power or the board itself fails, the refrigerator goes dark or stops responding. A control lock can also make a powered unit appear unresponsive.

It is a retail display mode where lights and the panel work but the compressor does not run. An accidental button combination can trigger it, mimicking a no-cool fault. A technician or the manual can exit it.
